Leipzig suffer to beat Hoffenheim

RB Leipzig adds and continues to follow a point from the lead. Julian Nagelsmann's men suffered greatly to prevail at home from a responding Hoffenheim and who deserved something more in an even game decided with a Yussuf Poulsen target.

Nagelsmann's team came out true to its style, trying to speed up the ball and weaving their plays from their defensive plot, however they ran into a very well planted Hoffenheim that little by little was unraveling the visiting proposal.

Sebastian Hoeness's team gave Leipzig its own medicine, that is, advanced pressure to short-circuit the opponent's ball exit, and the truth is that it worked.

Hoffenheim little by little took over the match against Leipzig that was clearly from more to less. The locals were also on the verge of getting ahead on the scoreboard in a defensive oversight by Nagelsmann's men, but Adams didn't hit the mark by finishing off a cross completely alone from the far post.

Leipzig hardly created any danger against the rival goal, but on the first clear occasion they had they executed Hoffenheim. Angeliño hung a ball for Sabitzer, who gave a head to Poulsen, who finished the play by establishing the 0-1.

Nagelsmann's men had managed to break the game, but not defeat the resistance of a Hoffenheim that continued to make his rival very uncomfortable and that required a superb intervention from his goalkeeper to survive.

Gulacsi showed feline reflexes after Baumgartner's point-blank header and avoided the equalizer of Hoeness's men, who sold their skin dearly but ended up succumbing to the effectiveness of Nagelsmann's.
