Leganés receives its neighbor Alcorcón amid direct fights for the 'top 6'

Sporting-Valladolid and Elche-Eibar, key duels for the playoff

MADRID, 15 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

CD Leganés, leader of LaLiga Hypermotion, will face this weekend in Butarque the twenty-seventh matchday against an AD Alcorcón in relegation positions while other 'gallitos' such as SD Eibar, Elche CF, Real Sporting de Gijón and Real Valladolid will fight among themselves to reach the direct promotion zone or at least settle in the playoffs.

The 'pepinero' team receives Alcorcón at home (Sunday 4:15 p.m.), which is nineteenth, in a Madrid derby in which Leganés, with 47 points and after 3 games without knowing victory (one defeat and two draws) will seek to redirect the situation and add three by three. In addition to only achieving two points out of nine possible, the leader will look for a goal, since he has not scored any goals in these last three games.

For its part, Alcorcón visits Leganés with good feelings after being victorious at home against Andorra (1-0), but despite having added three points it continues to mark the relegation zone with 28 points. Possibly the yellow team's plans are not to achieve victory against the leader, but it is a good time to be able to sink our teeth into a Leganés that is not going through its best moment.

The main pursuer of the leader, Eibar, faces a complicated game away from home against Elche (Sunday 9:00 p.m.) that is seventh in LaLiga Hypermotion, where the Basque team will want to stay very close to Leganés (45 points), and with a victory they could remove the Elche team from the fight for the 'top 6'. The team led by Joseba Etxeberria has gone five games without losing (4W-1D), an impressive streak that they will want to maintain and try to dethrone the leader.

Elche, on the other hand, has the possibility of stalking the 'top 6' from the seventh position in which it finds itself. They have just lost at home against Amorebieta (1-0), but despite this, they are just one point away from the 'top 6' and will look to Martínez Valero to deal a blow to Eibar, which they would leave only two points and it would bring everyone a little closer.

The other match in which the play-off positions will be in dispute, and even direct promotion, will be between Sporting de Gijón and Real Valladolid at the Molinón (Saturday 6:30 p.m.). The Asturian team has just emerged victorious in the derby against Real Oviedo (1-0) and with just one point more than its rival (42) it will seek to stay in the play-offs and move away from the Pucelano team.

Valladolid faces a complicated visit to Gijón in which with a defeat they could fall out of the 'top 6'. Pezzolano's team will try to solve their problems in front of goal. The streak without a goal extends in the last two games that ended in a draw against Leganés and Albacete. Newcomer Álvaro Negredo had minutes against the Castilian-La Mancha team and will try to help Valladolid with the goal.

Matchday 27 will open with Real Zaragoza that will host Cartegena in La Romareda (Friday 8:30 p.m.) that is seventeenth with 28 points. The Aragonese team is twelfth with 36 points and will rely on the home court factor, to return to the path of victory after losing to Eibar, while Cartagena has not known defeat in the last 5 rounds (4W-1D).

The closing will be carried out by Tenerife and Eldense at the Rodríguez López (Monday 8:30 p.m.). This match will be a fight for the middle positions of LaLiga Hypermotion. The Chicharrero team has 33 points, while the Alicante team has 35. Tenerife has not won for seven light games (4D-3E), a streak that is reversed with Eldense, who has not lost in the last eight days (2V-6E).
