Neither Cillessen nor Negredo, the hero was Ledesma. The Argentine is one of those goalkeepers who give points and against Valencia he saved one with four stops (two of them of great merit), which are worth gold. It was not a showy match, but it was of great intensity, with a Valencia that tried despite the losses, but has already accumulated four days without winning. For his part Cádiz made the point good, but still did not win in his fiefdom so far this season. Cervera does not finish finding an eleven and the Vallecas post-match party does not help him. For this reason, the absences in attack opened a gap for Osmajic, along with Negredo. Valencia, meanwhile, came out with what was on. Bordalás continues without recovering troops and in every eleven the Alicante puts what he has. In the case of the Che, another debutant as a starter, Marcos André, who already saved a point in extremis against Athletic.
As if it were a chess game, Cádiz and Valencia began studying each move to be made, trying to reduce errors near their own goal, but without punch in attack. Wass, to highlight something, was the one who tried the most. With those of Cervera closed behind, the Dane took two shots from outside the area. And if Valencia generated little in the first half, Cádiz less. Those from Cervera won in order and intensity in defense, but lost in their outings to the counter. His only chance came in a shot by Alarcón that Alderete cleared in the 40th minute.
The game was calm and the shadow of the VAR, which has punished the people of Cadiz a lot in these last two years, flew over the Mirandilla. Iglesias Villanueva reviewed a possible penalty from Fali by hand, although the repetitions cleared up the doubts: nothing to beep. The second part started differently and with options for both. Cádiz was able to open the scoring in a set-piece by Alarcón, in which Negredo lacked some faith. Valencia responded with the umpteenth shot from Wass from outside the area, which made Ledesma work hard. Wass took a liking to long shots and a minute later, which NFL kicker took a new shot with another Ledesma popcorn. There was no clear dominator in the second half, with two teams looking for the goal. Marcos André had it very clear, free from opposition, after a low shot from the right wing, but he did not hit the shot.
With five players out for the Vallecas party, Cervera's changes were noticed. Martín, Alejo, Chapela and Pedro Benito had their chance in the second half, but the one who reappeared again was the same as always: Ledesma. The Argentine saved Cádiz again with a very good start when Hugo Duro was already licking his lips. The last minutes were of harassment and demolition by both teams, but the result did not move.
