Lautaro, a stick and a missed penalty against Bologna

The connection between Lautaro Martínez and Romelu Lukaku continues to be very productive for Inter. Both players look for each other at all times, looking sideways to give the ball to their teammate at the right time.

Against Bologna, the first goal between the two players took the heading of both players, although Lautaro's “assistance” cannot be classified as such. Inter had been transferring danger to the rival goal and thanks to a cross from Ashley Young, he managed to get ahead on the scoreboard.

The English veteran put it for the boarding school of Lautaro at the near post. The ‘bull’ connected with a powerful header that crashed into the post, but attentive to the play, Lukaku al hunted ’the ball to send it to the back of the net.

A few plays later, it was Lukaku who sought out his best partner with a vertical pass. Lautaro protected the ball well and proceeded to finish already inside the area, however in a last effort his marker managed to block his shot on goal and send the ball to a corner.

Missed penalty

Already in the second half, Lautaro had an excellent opportunity to score. The Argentine wanted to launch a penalty caused by Candreva, but Skoupski did not fight and rejected the maximum penalty.

Like Inter, Lautaro was diluted in a horrible second half that ended up costing the team of Antonio Conte.
