The couple formed by Laura Barquero and Marco Zandron managed this Friday to continue making history for Spanish figure skating after qualifying for the final of the Winter Olympics that are being played in Beijing.
The Madrilenian and the Spanish-Italian had already made history by getting a ticket for the winter event despite only having been a duo since mid-2020 and becoming the first Spanish couple to compete in a Games in this modality. Despite the magnitude that surrounds the event, they did not show the nerves to firmly seal their pass among the 16 couples that will fight this Saturday, starting at 12:00 Spanish peninsular time, for a podium that is not their objective.
