MADRID, 12 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
UD Las Palmas became the leader of LaLiga SmartBank this Wednesday by beating Lugo (0-1) on matchday ten and with Deportivo Alavés drawing against Albacete, while Burgos extended its streak without conceding by also beating Andorra ( 0-1).
A goal by Benito in the 60th minute gave three points and the lead to the Canaries at the Anxo Carro, where the locals saw a much-protested Señé goal disallowed. Las Palmas took a victory that resisted them in the two previous days, this time they did take advantage of the draw before Alavés.
The leadership and the upper zone in Second is very hot after 10 days and the Canarian team, with Viera at the controls, took the lead with 20 points. The Basque team, for its part, stayed at 19 due to a thick game and again a jam at the top, with a victory in the last four games.
Albacete had their prize and also their opportunity to get something out of Mendizorroza, although the point leaves them with 16 within a shot of direct promotion. Meanwhile, Burgos placed third (18) stretching their record and that of goalkeeper Caro to 10 games without conceding, also taking the three points from the Principality through Bermejo.
