Las Palmas looks for a round day against Albacete

MADRID, 9 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

UD Las Palmas receives Albacete this Sunday with the intention of defending its leadership on matchday 20 of LaLiga SmartBank and the option of taking advantage of more demanding matches from its pursuers, since Burgos plays in Granada and Deportivo Alavés is measured to the Levant.

García Pimienta’s team is first with 35 points and a streak of five games without losing that they hope to extend in Gran Canaria this Sunday when they face Albacete. Las Palmas has its latent quality, it has shown that it knows how to suffer to get games ahead and the day could be propitious.

The ‘mechanical cheese’ visits the Canary Islands in the middle of the table and with a victory in the last eight games. Las Palmas will know when they go to their stadium what Burgos has done on their visit to Granada. The Castilian team, second with 34 points, continues to perform as a revelation team despite their defeat during the week against Eibar, but against the Andalusian team they will have another litmus test.

Paco López is managing to restore the status of a candidate for promotion to the Nasrid team, especially after their victory over Alavés last week. Granada is seventh, two points from the promotion zone, and will look for another step forward against Burgos.

In the same way, Alavés, third with the same 34, will have another complicated clash when they close the day on Monday receiving Levante, fifth with 32. A direct duel that both arrive with a thirst for victory after the irregular streak of the last matches.

With the option of assaulting the direct promotion zone, an Eibar grown by its last two comebacks in extremis will receive Real Oviedo. Meanwhile, closing the promotion zone, Cartagena, after losing to Villarreal B, will visit Sporting de Gijón who won again during the week eight days later.
