The president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has assured that they are working to have “a very competitive team next season”, although without revealing names, and has affirmed that everyone in the sports area is focused on “improving” the group.
“I like to have the best players at Barça. Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff have that responsibility to improve our team. We are working to have a very competitive team next season,” he said at the friendly match presentation press conference between Manchester City and FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou on August 24 to raise funds for the investigation against ALS.
In an act in which he was accompanied by the ‘citizen’ coach, Pep Guardiola, and the ex-footballer and coach Juan Carlos Unzué, who suffers from the disease and who has promoted the initiative, the top culé president assured that the duel will be high.
