Lampard and Bergkamp join the Premier League Hall of Fame

Frank Lampard and Dennis Bergkamp have been the latest players to join the Premier League Hall of Fame. Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane and Eric Cantona had previously been awarded this honor.

Lampard, who played for Chelsea, West Ham United and Manchester United, scored 177 goals in 609 matches in the competition, becoming Chelsea's top scorer.

“When I was a kid the only thing I could think about was playing for West Ham, looking at players like Roy Keane, Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry, so being on the same list as them is a real honor,” said Lampard. , who has recently been manager of Chelsea and Derby County.

Bergkamp, ​​who came to Arsenal from Inter Milan in 1995, played 423 games with the 'Gunners' shirt and in the Premier he scored 87 goals and distributed 94 assists.

“I am very proud that people say that I was one of the first foreigners who contributed something to English football,” Bergkamp said.

The six footballers who are already in the Hall of Fame will be joined by two more throughout this week.
