Florentino Perez was interviewed in El Chiringuito and criticized Thebes, to LaLiga and to the bottom CVC to which Real Madrid has not adhered, nor has Barcelona. Faced with these criticisms, LaLIga has issued a note responding to Florentino Pérez.
A note, that of LaLiga that consists of five points. The first of them makes it clear that “LaLiga has not put pressure on the president of FC Barcelona at any time or in any way, Joan Laporta, with the intention of joining the LaLiga Impulse. At all times, what has been done is to attend to the different information requirements requested by FC Barcelona from both LaLiga and CVC, always in response to a previously expressed interest from the Club”, the note assures.
Immediately afterwards, LaLiga assures that “as has already been explained on numerous occasions, the agreement with CVC To develop LaLiga Impulso, since its inception, it has had the legal advice of important international firms such as Uría Menéndez or Latham & Watkins, for which it refers to absolute legal solvency since its inception”.
The third point of this LaLiga note explains that “said agreement was put to a vote, as it could not be otherwise, following the democratic channels established in the different governance bodies of LaLiga” and the Spanish football employers continue to say that ” Most of the clubs that make up LaLiga, 38 of the 42, decided to join after analyzing the agreement individually and autonomously, also support yourselves by your respective legal advisors”.
To finish, the note from LaLiga assures in its note that “finally we regret that, once again, Florentino Perez question the decision-making capacity and autonomy of the rest of the presidents and managers of the LaLiga clubs”.
