Lacazette saves a point for Arsenal on Patrick Vieira’s return to Emirates

MADRID, 18 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Arsenal has saved this Monday, thanks to a goal in the discount of French Alexandre Lacazette, a draw against Crystal Palace (2-2) in the last match of the eighth day of the Premier League, a result that allows adding to the ‘gunners’ for the fifth consecutive day.

Mikel Arteta’s men managed to go ahead after eight minutes with a goal from Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which earned them a lead at half-time.

Belgian striker Christian Benteke, in the 50th minute, and Frenchman Odsonne Edouard, in the 73rd minute, managed to turn the scoreboard for Patrick Vieira’s men, who returned to the Emirates Stadium, his home between 1996 and 2005, in the middle of a loud ovation and chants in his honor.

However, already in 95, Lacazette came to the rescue of the locals, who thus reach 11 points, four from the continental zone. The Crystal Palace, meanwhile, has eight, five more than the relegation places.
