The Hippodrome of La Zarzuela inaugurates this Thursday and Saturday, July 2, the ‘Nights of the Hippodrome’, a sports and leisure offer that combines horse racing, music and gastronomy in the National Historical Heritage site in the ‘green lung ‘ of Madrid with 110 hectares.
The ‘Hippodrome Nights’, which celebrate their 35th anniversary, will be held every Thursday and Saturday in July and on August 4, 6 and 11, from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with live music by bands such as Darwin or the Banda de los 80 and the return of La Movida Madrileña with concerts by mythical groups such as Tennessee and The Golden Age, among others.
To this will be added a gastronomic offer distributed in different spaces of the enclosure. The ‘foodtrucks’ in the South Garden, the Japanese fusion food proposals of Villa Panthera in the amphitheater, the Calor By Ramón Freixa restaurant at the foot of the track, and the cocktails and cocktails of Casa Sweden in the South Box in front of the finish line. Apart from the Premium experiences of the VIP Boxes.
This Thursday five races will be held on the sand and fiber track that will begin at 10:10 p.m. at 35-minute intervals, including the Anita Slikker Prize, a handicap for horses and mares four years and older over 1,700 meters and in which Einar, ridden by rider Blanca Asperilla, is the main favourite.
