La Real uses a drone to record part of the training

In 2016, La Real began a digitization process that has allowed the club to be at the forefront of technology. The Realzale app or the smart shirt with RS Smart Tag technology have meant a qualitative leap in the club's relationship with the fans, but in the Real they have also brought digitization to the sports field with the analysis of big data thanks to the agreement with companies like Futboltek or ThermoHuman.

Nowadays in the Real everything is measured. Each player of the first team and each youth squad is analyzed in detail thanks to the work of the Evaluation and Data Unit that collects physical, medical, anthropometric and nutritional data to study the player in depth, which has a personalized application in which it responds to a questionnaire about your physical and mental state before and after workouts.

One of the devices that the club has incorporated into training sessions is a drone from which certain exercises are recorded from the air to have a different perspective that allows them to analyze the movement of the players and their disposition on the pitch.

In yesterday's session Ibon
Peñagarikano, a member of the analysis structure, was in charge of handling the drone that flew over the José Luis Orbegozo for a few minutes to record some of the possession and shooting exercises that the team carried out under the direction of David
Casamichana and the supervision of Imanol
Sheriff.

From the grass Peñagarikano He managed the drone, placing it in different positions while the staff carried out different exercises. And it is that the entire training session is recorded on different devices, which together with the rest of the data allows the coaching staff to handle an infinite number of parameters with which to achieve a better collective performance.
