MADRID, 12 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker asked Instagram and the authorities for more action on Thursday in the fight against racism, to eradicate attacks like the one he himself suffered after the defeat against Juventus in the Champions League.

Walker himself posted on his ‘X’ social network account a screenshot of the attack he suffered on Instagram, in which a user wished him death with a racist insult. Mentioning that attack, the City captain left the following message:

“No one should ever be subjected to the type of vile, racist and threatening abuse I received online after last night’s game. Instagram and the authorities must stop this for the sake of everyone who suffers this abuse. It is never acceptable. To our fans, we will continue working as a team to do better, to improve and move forward together,” he noted in his complaint.

Manchester City also issued a statement to condemn the racist attack towards their player. “Manchester City strongly condemns the racist abuse that Kyle Walker suffered online after last night’s match. We refuse to tolerate any form of discrimination, whether in stadiums or online. We will offer Kyle our full support following the disgusting treatment he suffered. has received,” said the English club.
