Kubo is another with Japan

Kubo is another with Japan. After a difficult year, in which he did not achieve the desired continuity either at Villarreal or at Getafe, the madridista has rediscovered himself with his national team. That is exactly what the white club was looking for, which made an exception: while it did not allow Vinicius or Rodrygo to go with Brazil, yes he agreed in the case of Kubo. The reason is that they considered that it would be a hard emotional blow for him to leave him out of the Olympic Games in his country and, at the same time, could serve to regain confidence lost in the past year.

So it has been. Kubo is the undisputed leader of his team, forming a partnership with Doan that allows the Japanese to dream of gold. His letter of introduction to the tournament was fantastic: three goals in the first three games. In the quarterfinals he did not score, but he was important again (he played the whole game, overtime included). In Japan he finds the prominence he claims to deploy his football: play behind the striker, with freedom to fall to both bands and being the piece through which the entire attack game passes.

Future

The madridista made a brave decision: wait until after the Games to decide your future. He hoped to vindicate himself. A two-sided coin, because he turned down offers for waiting. His dream, which he has not yet ruled out, is to convince Ancelotti to stay at Madrid this season. It's complicated. In case you have to leave, Real Sociedad is the club with the most options. Bailiff trusts him a lot and Kubo is drawn to the club's philosophy. They loved him at the end of the season (also last year) and, after his performance in Tokyo, interest has increased. He has more offers but right now, if he is on loan again, Donosti is his favorite.
