Kroos is back

Toni Kroos is back. The German midfielder participated in the victory of his team against Ukraine in a valid match of the League of Nations. Kroos, who has missed the last two games with Real Madrid due to an injury that occurred during the Betis-Real Madrid match, will be available for the match that the whites will play against Cádiz on Saturday (6:30 pm, Movistar LaLiga) at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium.

In the match against the verdiblanco team, Kroos had to request the change shortly before the break due to problems in the hip area, being relieved by Modric. He tried to continue despite the pain, but being aware that he was not in the necessary conditions to do so, he opted for the substitution without completing the first period. He withdrew, bringing his hand to the left part of the body from the waist, at times to the back of the left leg. However, initial scans, in the locker room, did not shed enough light on that mishap. The next day he was diagnosed with a muscle problem in the left gluteus medius, which came to be about ten days off. That same day, September 28, Kroos himself sent a message of optimism through his social networks: “I'll be right back.”

Kroos came with the intention of having minutes on his return to Madrid. His good evolution allowed him to line up against Ukraine. He played the 90 minutes, but at certain moments it was seen that he was short of shooting due to the stoppage suffered.

Before the Ukrainian team, with the presence of some 20,000 spectators in the stands, Kroos lined up alongside Kimmich in midfield. He gave a recital when it came to passing and distributing the ball: 101 correct passes out of 107 attempted, 94% effective, with eight losses, with six of seven long balls. He suffered two fouls and committed two more, one of which led him to see the yellow card in the 53rd minute of the game. In addition, he shot once, but it was deflected and tried a dribble (positive). Now he waits in Cologne to play with his team. Switzerland is the rival. Zidane awaits him to train before playing against Cádiz. But Kroos is back …
