Kroos: “In the preseason we don’t have games that really count, but we know their importance”

MADRID, 25 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The German midfielder of Real Madrid, Toni Kroos, stressed that the preseason is not the part of the year that they like the most because they do not have “the games that really count”, but he did not warn that they know of its “importance” in order to be ready to fight for all the titles, something to which they are obliged, although “it is not always possible”.

“This is not the part that we enjoy the most because we don’t have games that really count and that are the ones that we all want to play, but it is preparation and we know how important it is because it has to last us the whole season. It is one more preseason, I know which is important to prepare everything that is to come because the seasons are very long,” Kroos told the club’s official media.

The German acknowledged that with each passing day they are “a little better” and that they are “working hard on everything there is in a preseason”, what they like the most “is working with the ball”, and also what they “least” which is more the merely physical part.

“It helps us to pick up the pace for the games and to be available for August 10, which is when we have the first important game and where we play for a title, and all the days before are used to prepare it and take minutes to be well when come the important games”, continued the madridista.

Finally, for the next season, Kroos made it clear that, “as always”, they will try to fight “for all the titles”. “Here, every competition you play you want to win and although we are going to try, it is not always possible. There is the European Super Cup, the League, the Champions League and in the winter the World Cup and the Spanish Super Cup. There are many titles at stake and who knows us knows that we are going to try to win them all, although we know that it is not easy”, he sentenced.
