Koundé is already “focused on Haaland”

The Seville is already thinking about him Borussia Dortmund, his rival in the round of 16 of the Champions this Wednesday, a meeting where Julen's team Lopetegui It comes launched after 9 consecutive wins and with several names, players who are shining with their own light as Bonus, En-Nesyri or defender Jules Kooundé. He is receiving a lot of praise and the Frenchman already recognizes that he is thinking about Haaland, the star of the German team.

“No matter who we face, we are going to do our best to move on to the next phase. To begin with, we will focus on our approach as a team, because that is how we always approach our games. Our technical team will do its job and will try to give us as much information as possible to help us focus that game as best as possible. That said, individually, I will focus a little more on Haaland, but not too much because football is a team sport and we will try to carry out our game plan as well as possible, ”the young defender told the UEFA website .

Also spoke Kooundé of his experience in the Seville: “I have learned a lot in many facets of my life. It was the first time I was away from my family. There are moments more complicated than others, obviously. But I have also grown a lot as a footballer, because the demand is greater. We play to win every game, to win titles. The demands are different, whether they come from the coach, the coaching staff, other players or, obviously, the fans ”.

One of the defenders with the most projection due to conditions and youth, Kooundé says to be at ease in Seville and he does not think of making the jump to another club although there have been very important offers. “Here the demand is high. This is something that I really like and that is why I came here, because I needed greater demands. That is what I felt here. I also felt a lot of support from the club, from my teammates, and especially from the fans. It's something that really motivates me, that really motivates us all, I think. That is also the reason why we play soccer. We play for ourselves, but above all, we play for the people, for the people who watch us. That is why it has also been a bit more difficult lately. We have to find other sources of motivation besides the fans to push ourselves and give the best of ourselves ”.
