The Atlético de Madrid midfielder Koke Resurrección has become this Sunday in Abanca Balaídos the player with the most LaLiga games in the history of the rojiblanco club, with 402, surpassing a legend like Adelardo Rodríguez.
The 31-year-old youth squad player who joined the club at the age of six, started as a starter on the pitch of the Galician venue in the duel against RC Celta on matchday twenty-one of LaLiga Santander and, with it, surpassed the 401 games of Adelardo Rodríguez (1959-76).
Koke made his debut in 2009 with the first team in LaLiga at FC Barcelona-Atlético de Madrid played at the Camp Nou, and since 2010 he has been part of the first team. Throughout his 402 appearances in the competition, he has managed to lift the champion title twice (2013-14 and 2020-21).
