Ronald Koeman spoke after the Cornellà game
What balance do you make of the game?
We have missed two penalties, but we have had many opportunities. It cannot be that it happens in a team like Barça. You have to win the game much earlier.
You were a specialist in penalties. How is this solved?
I don't understand why there are usually enough players who can score penalties. They may be scary but I don't know. Several players have failed and, above all, if you score one of the two penalties, you calm down. Once again, you cannot miss two penalties as Barça players. It's not serious.
Do you have to work on them more after training?
Nor is there so much pressure to score a penalty. There is no audience. You have to have a cool head and score. And it is always possible to miss a penalty, but you cannot accept that two are missed. And for that reason, the team has had to exert physical wear and tear that is not normal in these types of matches.
Has a weight been lifted?
As I have done before, there was a lot to lose and little to gain. Cornellà played a great game and their goalkeeper was the best. It seems that we find it difficult to mark. Again. We could have the game easier and they played a great game. I understand why they beat Atlético de Madrid. But we have to talk about why we had to play 120 minutes again.
Are they psychologically touched?
It may be that there is a little more fear than we normally have. Apart from Leo, we do not have a shooter who is proving to score penalties. You have to train more, score, and improve this aspect.
Did you expect more from Trincao, Riqui and Ilaix?
Those who have debuted today have shown that they can have a future at this club. And others lack things.
What did you want with Dembélé's departure?
Have more depth and more open bands to have more depth. Riqui had a card and that's why we made the change.
