Liverpool has been associated with Jurgen Klopp since October 2015. The German patents a signature football, aggressive in pressure and dizzying with the ball, the famous Gegenpressing (high pressure) with which he got the red team to be European champion in 2019 and Premier champion in 2020. The values of the former Borussia Dortmund coach and his view of football caught on in Liverpool, although now that relationship is going through a delicate moment (sixth in the Premier and with an unfavorable 3-1 in the Champions League quarterfinals). A look that he has acquired thanks also to the amalgamation of collaborators with whom he has in the sports management and in his coaching staff.
Next to Klopp there is an authentic Tower of Babel, with up to ten different nationalities. In 2015, the German coach arrived in Liverpool with two assistants, Zelko buvac (Bosnian) and Peter krawietz (German of Polish origin). The first of them remained until 2018, when he was replaced by the Dutch Pepijn Ljinders, trained in Porto's grassroots football and with experience in his country, until he came to Liverpool to take over the Elite Group and then become a first team assistance. His position in the last step of the quarry was occupied by the Portuguese Vitor Matos, from Porto and with experience in China.
Along with Klopp, at the foot of the field, there are three other foreign assistants. Frederico Patience He is one of the coordinators at the academy and translator of the newcomers to the first team. A true globetrotter who speaks Portuguese, Spanish, English, Italian, French and German. The goalkeeping technician, John achtenberg, is also Dutch and Motonori Watanabe, who is a physiotherapist, gives the staff an Asian touch by being Japanese.
A family and multicultural sports area
Apart from the assistants who advise Klopp on the field, the relationship with the sports management is close. In fact, the club is characterized by going to the market dropper and painstakingly analyzing, with the approval of the coach, the signings of each season. Four Englishmen stand out in the technical secretariat. Michael Edwards (athletic director), Julian Ward (deputy athletic director), Dave Fallows (scouting director), and Barry Hunter (scouting chief). Together with them, a whole network of collectors around the world who reside in the areas in which they must control, in this way they have close and permanent contact with players, agents, clubs and families.
This group is made up of Paul Goldrick, English of Italian family that follows Calcio; Mad jorgensen, former Danish player who is in charge of the Scandinavian area; the algerian Rachid Khlifi he is responsible in France; Fernando Troiani, Argentine, is in charge of South America together with, among others, the Brazilian Dassler Marques. In Spain and Portugal, Kiko Espinar, Before at Espanyol, he has been with the entity since the end of 2015 and the former Senegalese player works with him Sylvian N'Diaye.

There are few operations that Liverpool have carried out in Spain and Portugal, taking into account the multiple factors that surround the signings at the English club. The good relationship with the environment Thiago, the reports of Diego Jota in its beginnings and the hiring of the young Celta player, Stefan bajcetic, are some of the movements that Klopp's Tower of Babel has made from Spain.
