Kike Salas, out of Sevilla due to an injury to his right hamstring

MADRID, 18 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Sevilla FC defender Kike Salas suffers a myotendinous injury in his right hamstring, which is why he is out and his return to the playing fields “remains pending evolution”, according to the Sevilla club in a statement issued this Thursday.

“Kike Salas suffers a myotendinous injury in his right hamstring, according to the Sevilla FC medical services following the tests carried out on the player. The player's progress is pending before he can return to work with the rest of the squad,” the club announced.

The youth player was replaced by Adriá Pedrosa before half-time of the match played last Friday between Sevilla and Deportivo Alavés, corresponding to matchday 20 of LaLiga EA Sports 2023-2024, at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.

Salas will be out for about 15 days, and joins the list of absences already made up of the injured Nemanja Gudelj, Dodi Lukebakio and Marcos Acuña, in addition to the suspended Boubakary Soumaré. All of them will not be available for Quique Sánchez Flores during Sevilla FC's visit to Girona this Sunday (9:00 p.m.).
