MADRID, 14 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The American shooting guard Kameron Taylor, 28 years old and 1.98 meters tall, this Friday became a new Unicaja Malaga player for the next two seasons, after having played last year at Bàsquet Girona.
This has been confirmed by Unicaja itself on its website. Taylor arrives in Málaga after averaging 14.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game in the Endesa League for the Girona club, being one of the most valued in that competition (eighth with 15 .6 credits).
“The team from Malaga has closed one of the most outstanding outside players of the last Endesa League for two seasons. Taylor stands out for his ability to play in the shooting guard and forward positions, always with a high intensity on both sides of the court” , Unicaja has indicated in its note.
“Dangerous in the open field, he is very incisive in front of the basket and reliable in shooting from outside, as well as being a sure bet in defensive work. An all-round player who props up Málaga’s outside line”, added the Málaga press text.
The new Unicaja player has been in European basketball for seven seasons. “Germany or Hungary were the first countries where he grew as a player. This progression has been continuous, something that led him in the 2021/22 season to go through the ranks of a great European basketball player, Maccabi Tel Aviv, with whom he played 19 Euroleague games”, the note underlined.
Taylor is also familiar with the Basketball Champions League, a competition he played with Brose Bamberg in the 2019/20 season and with SIG Strarsbourg two seasons ago, a team with which he reached the quarterfinals. His averages in the 2021/22 Champions League were 12 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and a PIR of 14.9.
