Kamara, Atlético’s goal, opts for Aston Villa

The economic power of the Premier League is reflected in a signing. Boubacar Kamara has opted for the offer from Aston Villafourteenth in the English competition, ahead of Atlético, who aspired to take over the young 22-year-old French midfielder.

The rojiblanco club wore from the winter market trying to get the services of a player who can act as a pivot and also covered the center of the defense with total naturalness. Summoned by Deschamps for the next France’s commitments, Atlético tried to convince the player with the qualification to play a new Champions League and compete at higher levels. But in the end, Aston Villa were more persuasive.

Kamara was free to sign with any club from January 1, as his contract with Olympique de Marseille comes to an end on June 30. The Premier League is a championship that motivated the player a lot and despite Atletico’s attempts, the economic power is incomparable. The figure of Steven Gerrard on the Villa bench has also played a determining role. Atlético is thus left without one of its great objectives, a young, versatile player who also avoided having to negotiate a transfer. Now, he must go to the market to try to close that midfielder that the team lacks so much.
