Juventus meets Fiorentina and will play the final against Inter (2-0)

Juventus fulfilled the predictions against Fiorentina and will play their third consecutive Coppa final, this time against Inter on May 11 in Rome. The ‘bianconeri’ came with an advantage in the first leg in Florence thanks to an own goal from Venuti and in the second leg they did not give rise to the ‘viola’ comeback and sealed their pass with a goal from Bernardeschi and another from Danilo.

Fiorentina never gave up trying to surprise in Turin, but their fight lacked accuracy and a bit of luck to get Juve, who were comfortable for much of the match, into real trouble.

The ‘viola’ team started with energy and right from the start they gave the ‘bianconeri’ a big scare. Torreira shot on goal, but his teammate Cabral prevented the goal on the goal line by failing to get away in time. The referee, likewise, pointed out a previous foul on Perin, so the goal would not have gone up on the scoreboard either.

Gradually, Juventus leveled off the intensity and took control of the match. Allegri’s men grew and struck the final blow, taking advantage of a gift from goalkeeper Dragowski, who measured poorly on his way out and gave Bernardeschi the 1-0 (32′).

Fiore accelerated again after the break, but could never beat Juve or Perin who stretched to deflect a header from Martínez Quarta, in what was the clearest chance for the team coached by Vincenzo Italiano.

The sentence of Juventus would come in the discount, when Danilo put the final 2-0, signing the pass to the final.
