The Joventut Badalona Club announced this Friday the termination of the contract of the American center of Nigerian nationality Chinanu Onuaku, after a few days away from the team, and the injury of Ante Tomic, with a sprained ankle, so the green and black inside game is affected .
“Club Joventut Badalona and the player Chinanu Onuaku have reached an agreement to terminate the contract that united them until the end of the 2023/24 season,” the ‘Penya’ announced in a statement.
Onuaku started the season very well, with good records and an outstanding presence in the defensive and offensive game of Carles Duran’s team. However, he no longer played the last duels in the acb or in the European competition.
In the Endesa League, the 2.08-meter, 27-year-old center had 8.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and a PIR of 7.8 in six games, while in the Eurocup he achieved an average of 7.2 points , 4 rebounds and 8.8 rating in four games.
On the other hand, ‘Penya’ reported that the medical tests carried out on Ante Tomic confirm that the Croatian center suffers a sprained left ankle.
“Tomic will undergo intensive treatment by the club’s medical services with the aim of returning to the courts as soon as possible,” the green-and-black entity added in a statement.
