In this second installment we reflect other matters dealt with by José María Muñoz, the judicial administrator of Málaga. Promotion to First. “If it rose, the problem would be solved because we would go from a peak of seven million euros to more than thirty in audiovisual rights. Imagine Manolo Gaspar having a ten million salary limit. I would clap my ears ”.
When can you say that your work is done? I will continue working as long as the court has confidence in me. My mandate is indefinite because it is renewed every six months. It does not require an agreement from anyone, I work in the short, medium and long term. I can stay three months because the court loses confidence in me or four years. As long as the circumstances that led to my appointment continue, I will continue as Malaga judicial administrator ”.
Current situation. “The club is practically healthy. Everything that had to be done has been done. We need the outstanding collections like the Al Thani loans. We have pending charges from Villarreal and some more. If we could achieve all that, Málaga would have no problems. That is why it is key that people come to become an employer. We are calling the companies ”.
Is a capital increase possible? “We continue to be in a transitory situation. If Málaga managed to recover all those charges it would not have cash flow problems. Capital increase? The responsibility I have there is immense and it is a fine surgical operation. It's complicated. It would be a great solution. A capital increase is, for example, ending the Academy. It is unthinkable that a city like Malaga does not have a sports city. We continue to do so because the damage of paralyzing it is greater is greater. I said it in the feasibility plan. One option is the capital increase and another, the bankruptcy. The latter is a tool and for us it could even be comfortable. But it could be disastrous for Malaga. The capital increase could be a great solution, but you have to be very careful ”.
How much could this figure be for the capital increase? “The work of the Academy has to be finished, they are approximately 15 million. We already have a starting figure. Balance the equity, if we do not have pending collections, it could be another five million. Less than 20 million I doubt it ”.
Is it more difficult this year than last? “The past year was horrendous professionally and personally. In this year that I have been at Malaga I have had six days off. The transfer market that we have passed… I can tell about Joaquín Muñoz that he signed up 23 seconds after closing. And closure is closure ”.
LaLiga's sanction. Salary cap. “We are working to not be sanctioned and I think we will get it if we do not get another surprise like the TAS with Galatasaray.”
Return of money to the sheikh from La Bajadilla, 4.2 million euros. “Possibly they will be at 2.8 million euros, the providence I have not seen, but what I understand is that the Junta de Andalucía has been told to execute it. That this money will be returned to whoever believes it should be returned and the Al Thani family could take if it is returned to them and give it to Malaga. That could be an interesting solution. But it could be not and, what I understand is that it could be repossessed. That is associated with the sentence that they have, not the one they are going to have ”.
Player renewal. “What Manolo is doing is incredible because he has to convince without knowing what we are going to be able to count on. It is already meeting and reaching agreements for next year. Last year was worse because in March, before the pandemic, I told him that the scenario was worse, in which we moved with LaLiga, which was 750,000 euros for the whole team. “
Sponsorship of BlueBay T-shirts. “The famous advertising contract that BlueBay had with Malaga in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, when we discovered that it existed, we checked whether it had been reflected in the club's accounting and annual accounts. We saw that it was not. We contacted the court. For my part, as I am not aware of that payment (2.1 million euros), we made a notarial request to BlueBay to pay us. I am at the expense of what the Police tell me and if they confirm that I am right, I will initiate the pertinent actions ”.
Relations with BlueBay. “They are not shareholders of the club. That is through Nash Spain, of which I am the judicial administrator, of which 49% and the Al Thani family have 51%. Neither relationship is neither good nor bad. I do my job”.
Declaration of Al Thani. “I have no news of when it may be. It would be nice if it were in the spring ”.
Appraisal of the shares of the sheikh shares and their defense. “Two colleagues are working on their appraisal. They will need several months. The defense I know they quit. One may be appointed ex officio ”.

Horta and Málaga's rights on a future sale from Braga. “We are trying to reach an agreement. It is a very cumbersome operation because there are two or three crossed contracts ”.
Is the club able to buy Yanis today. “Do not. Until May I see it practically impossible. 99.99% impossible ”.
Possibility of a descent. “It is not contemplated, although I do have it in mind. If it did, very severe measures would have to be taken. Malaga would have to consider 80% structure ”.
Pellicer Renovation. “The coach that Manolo Gaspar wants for next season is Sergio Pellicer and I have nothing more to say. We are only aware of what salary limit we have to offer you the best contract. We have no doubts. The work he has done in August and September is tremendous. You cannot even imagine what he suffered in that Alahurín concentration, with the ERE players, who were leaving … it was very hard. We were in preseason in the month of October. Sergio has had a great management capacity. The behavior of the staff with respect to Covid has been spectacular. We have not had any incidence, no positive. That's important because from matchday 34, if we can't compete, we lose the match 3-0. Watch out for that ”.

More sponsorships. “I would like you to put this in capital letters. Malaga needs sponsorship from Malaga. Financial support to increase the salary limit. I am envious when I speak with other presidents and I see that other cities get a little more involved with the team ”.
How much have Málaga lost due to the pandemic? “About six million euros.”
