Jorge Vilda: “It was the last real test and we consider it valid”

MADRID, 14 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s soccer coach, Jorge Vilda, has assured that he considers “valid” the “last real test” of his soccer players before the World Cup, the training match this Friday against Vietnam (9-0), and has affirmed that the progression is being “good” and that he sees the team “fresh”.

“It is the last real test before the 21st and we consider it valid. First, because they have all finished in good condition, because the team has played well in both parts,” he said in statements provided by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). ).

The Madrid coach was happy with the work of his players. “We have pressed, they have not come close, we have kept a clean sheet, we have circulated, the game plan has been well understood. The team has been fresh, there are a few days left after the debut and the progression is good”, he indicated.

In this sense, he considers that the group is ready to start the World Cup against Costa Rica. “These remaining six days will pass quickly. The team is prepared, excited and eager. We are ready for the World Cup,” he said.

For her part, Jenni Hermoso, author of a double against the Asians, also believes that they are on the right track. “Everything is just around the corner and this game has served us to train the last details that we have left. We continue with a clean sheet and we are already thinking about next week,” she stressed.

In addition, he confessed his desire to face the debut against the Central American team. “We have to be with all the intensity and emotion that the debut entails. This preparation is coming in handy for us and we are very prepared,” he said.

Lastly, Aitana Bonmatí acknowledged that the first days in New Zealand were “difficult because of the ‘jet lag’ and also because of the weather”. “Here it is winter and in Spain they are in summer, so the adaptation has taken a bit, but now we are one hundred percent adapted,” she said.

“This tournament is held every four years and there aren’t many opportunities to play it. It will be my second World Cup, we really want it to start and we’re going with everything”, he concluded.
