Jonatan Giráldez renews with Barça Femení until 2024

“Every day at Barça is a master’s degree and I’m growing a lot”

BARCELONA, 3 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Barça Femení coach Jonatan Giráldez has renewed as head of the Blaugrana women’s team until 2024, so he will have two more full seasons to develop his project, in an agreement that leaves him happy because it allows him to continue his “master” at Can Barça.

“Jonatan Giráldez has renewed his contract with FC Barcelona until June 30, 2024. The coach, who ended his relationship with the club at the end of the season, sealed his continuity for two more years this Friday together with president Joan Laporta and the director Xavier Puig, in the office of the president of the Camp Nou”, announced the club in a statement.

Giráldez wanted to be accompanied by his coaching staff; the assistants Rafel Navarro and Pere Romeu, the goalkeeping coach Oriol Casares, the physical trainers Berta Carles and Jacob González and the analysts Toni Gordo and Alberto Angelastri, who will also continue in the team.

In his first year as head coach, Jonatan Giráldez’s Barça has won the League (winning all 30 games), the Queen’s Cup and the Spanish Super Cup, as well as being a finalist in the ‘Champions League’, with a record 45 wins in 47 games, with 221 goals for and 23 against.

“Today is a very happy day, especially for all the people present here, those who will be next season and who are important, and they deserved it. Every day is a master’s degree. I have the feeling that I am growing a lot on a personal level Giráldez said in statements provided by the club. “We hope to come back wanting more, I think this team still has room,” he added.
