Joel Embiid out indefinitely due to orbital fracture

MADRID, 30 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Philadelphia 76ers power forward Joel Embiid may not play again for the rest of the NBA season after suffering an orbital fracture that will keep him out indefinitely and will reduce his teams’ options in the playoffs for the ring.

The Cameroonian, star of ‘Doc’ Rivers’ team, suffered a fracture in one of the bones surrounding his right eye and also a minor concussion in the sixth game of the series against the Toronto Raptors after receiving a blow from Pascal Siakam during the last room.

According to the NBA website, Embiid had a similar mishap in 2018 that took him without playing for three weeks, so if it happened again he would miss the Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Miami Heat.
