More than a week after the arrest of the Brazilian soccer player, Joana Sanz has already filed for divorce Dani Alves. The footballer, who broke his silence from jail this Monday, is still in pretrial detention without bail accused of an alleged crime of rape, which occurred on the night of December 30 to 31 in Barcelona.

“Joana Sanz has asked Dani Alves for a divorce. Her lawyers have told her the news because she asked for a vis a vis last week and he said no”, Leticia Requejo announced this Tuesday in Ana Rosa’s program. They assure that there is no going back on their decision: “It is a decision that they have not taken on the spot.” Joana firmly believes the alleged victim.
After the arrest of the former Barça player on Friday, January 20, the model from Tenerife wrote on her social networks: “I please ask the media outside my house to respect my privacy at this time. My mother has passed away a week ago, I have only just begun to assume that she is no longer around to be tormented with my husband’s situation”. Days later, she made it clear that she no longer had confidence in her husband and she spoke of the storm that he was experiencing.

The Canary Islander and the athlete met in Barcelona in 2016 thanks to some mutual friends. A year later they got married in Formentera in an intimate wedding. Alves’ defense, headed by the Catalan lawyer Cristóbal Martell, is working to obtain provisional release for his client asking for precautionary measures.
