The Spanish MotoGP rider Joan Mir (Repsol Honda) will not participate in the remainder of the Valencian Community Grand Prix, the last round of the motorcycle World Championship, after suffering a serious fall during free practice on Friday, his team has confirmed.
“After his medical check-up and after consulting with the team this morning, Joan Mir will not participate in the Valencian Community Grand Prix. He will now focus on recovering and preparing for Tuesday’s test,” said Repsol Honda in reference to the first test. preseason, which will also be held at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste.
The Spaniard suffered a fall at Turn 9 in the early stages of FP1, and after passing through the circuit’s medical center he was transferred to a hospital for further tests. Supplementary examinations revealed no fractures.
