The lateral Jaume Costa he said goodbye this Tuesday to Valencia after finalizing their transfer from Villarreal and he accepted that the end of the season that they have starred in has been “horrible”, but he has added that there have been circumstances that have conditioned the performance of the team.
“End of a season that started very well and ended up being a nightmare … There are no excuses that can soften the end of the season so horrible that we have done, but if there are actions and events that condition the day-to-day life of a locker room”, explained in a letter on social networks.
Costa said that he never hides and assumes that he has “failed” but also notes that “no one can tell me that I have not given everything for the club both on and off the field.”
In addition, he says that he always tries to see “the positive side of things, and I take many of this year,” especially the affection of the club's fans.
“I took with me the experience of returning to the club that saw me grow, the illusion of playing Champions, to meet great people who have become friends, to meet again with people from my childhood, and above all the love that the hobby has transmitted to me whenever possible, “he said.
