The Valencia Basket player Jasiel Rivero is the ‘Movistar MVP’ for the month of December, after averaging a PIR of 20.7 in the last games of the year and wins his second monthly trophy so far this season, after being the best October player of the month
“The Cuban Jasiel Rivero is being one of the proper names of the season and concludes the year by being crowned Movistar MVP of the month of December,” the acb highlighted.
With averages of 14.7 points, 5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks, the Valencia Basket center achieved an average PIR of 20.7 in the three games played, which resulted in two wins for the ‘taronja’.
Rivero completed his best performance in matchday 11 where he accumulated 20 points and 6 rebounds –28 PIR in the victory over Bàsquet Girona–. He also had a PIR of 19 in the victory at the Coviran Granada track, with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Cuban player closed his year 2022 reaching 13 points and 3 rebounds –with 15 PIR points– in the defeat of Valencia Basket on their visit to Gran Canaria. Thus, he adds this December MVP to the one won in October, while in November Ante Tomic (Joventut) was the winner of the ‘Movistar MVP’.
