The Spanish point guard Jaime Fernández became this Friday the new signing of Lenovo Tenerife for the next three seasons, a 29-year-old player who arrives from Unicaja Málaga and can act both as a point guard and as a shooting guard.
Fernández has extensive experience both in the Endesa League, with 342 games, and in European competitions. The player shared his ACB career to date between Estudiantes (2010-17), Morabanc Andorra (2017-18) and Unicaja (2018-21), where last year he averaged 10 points, 3 assists and 9.8 of valuation in the 20 minutes on average available in the domestic competition.
The point guard from Madrid has been international for Spain in all categories. He was European champion with the U16 (Kaunas 2009) and U18 (Wroclaw (2011) teams; and twice a bronze medalist at the U20 Eurobasket in 2012 and 2013. In addition, he made his senior debut in 2017 and was part of the team that He qualified for the 2019 World Cup.
