Jaén will host the Spanish Cup

The Olivo Arena de Jaén It will host, between March 31 and April 3, the 33rd Edition of the Spanish Futsal Cup, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). The Commission for the appointment of venues of the federative entity has approved the candidacy presented by the Junta de Andalucía, the Diputación de Jaén and the Ayuntamiento de Jaén.

In this way, for 4 days, The city of Jaén will become the Spanish capital of futsal, since, in parallel to the Copa de España 2022, the RFEF Youth Cup of this sport will be held.

The Spanish Cup will start on March 31st with the celebration of the quarterfinals, which will continue on April 1. The semifinals will take place on Saturday, day 2; while the finalist teams will compete for the trophy on Sunday, April 3.

At lottery Of the pairings, the first 8 classified teams will enter, as usual, at the conclusion of the first round of the First RFEF Futsal.

Refering to RFEF Cup, will be contested by those teams classified in the first place, at the conclusion of the first round, of the different groups of the national youth category.

The Olivo Arena, home of the 2022 Spanish Cup, is a national benchmark sports facility, and one of the most modern pavilions among those currently used for futsal. Inaugurated in June 2021, it is the venue used as a venue by the Jaén Paraíso Interior FS, and has a capacity of more than 6,500 spectators.

It will be the first time that Jaén hosts the Spanish Cup futsal, taking over from other Andalusian cities that have hosted the competition in previous editions, such as Málaga (2020), Granada (2009) or Roquetas de Mar (1999).
