I want to thank the Secret Service and all law enforcement agencies for their speed and determination in acting today. Praying for our country. I love you dad, today and always”the model wrote to support her father in this delicate moment.
The former US president, who is running for election in November, had been speaking for just a few minutes when shots were heard. He raised his right hand to his face, as if he had been hit, fell to the ground and was covered by Secret Service agents. He suffered minor injuries after a bullet hit his right ear.
