The Committee of Referees UEFA has announced that Daniele
Orsato will arbitrate the final of the Champions between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern, this coming Sunday in Lisbon.
The Italian, from 44
years and international since 2010, will thus lead his first final in a major UEFA tournament after having participated in the refereeing of eight matches this season in the UEFA Champions League, including the first leg of the round of 16 between Real
Madrid and Manchester
City in February.
Orsato also coached a quarter-final match in the current UEFA Europa League final phase that is being played in Germany. In addition, last season he was the fourth official in the UEFA Europa League final between Chelsea and Arsenal.
In the Lisbon final, Orsato will be assisted by his compatriots Lorenzo Manganelli and Alessandro Giallatini. The fourth official will be Ovidiu Hațegan from Romania.
The referee team assistants of video (VAR) will be led by Massimiliano Irrati and assisted by Marco Guida, also from Italy. The Spanish Roberto Díaz Pérez del Palomar and Alejandro Hernández Hernández complete the VAR team.
