Judge Adolfo Carretero has reopened the case against the former deputy Íñigo Errejón for an alleged crime of sexual assault against the actress Elisha Moulia and has summoned both to testify on January 16. She, who requested the temporary file due to her lawyer’s maternity, has publicly denounced what happened, calling it “injustice”: “I have my lawyer and I believe that it is her right to give birth and that, as Victoria has rightly said, Rosell, for other reasons, for example that the lawyer has broken his leg skiing or who knows, the case is paralyzed. However, when it is due to maternity, there is a lot of inequality and a lot of injustice.
The actress wanted to keep her lawyer despite her maternity leave but explained that, given the judge’s latest decision, it will be impossible: “The problem is that she has just given birth and is still taking some time.” Elisa carefully chose her lawyer before filing the complaint against Iñigo Errejón to undertake this high-profile legal battle: “She’s a specialized lawyer, you know? And in the end I can’t take just anyone, I want to take someone who handles many issues.”
Now, Elisa has confirmed that she is looking for a new legal service: “I am meeting with lawyers, but I am very sad because she is very good and it seems like an absolute lack of respect on the part of the judge. Because we all have the right to be mothers and continue practicing,” she said very angry.
Errejón’s first victory
The former deputy of Sumar appealed the temporary file of the case, ordered by the Court of Instruction number 47 of Madrid due to the medical leave of the lawyer who defends Elisa, on November 15. The founder of Podemos assured that it was a strategy by Mouliaá and his defense to delay the process over time, while requesting the continuation of the procedure to be able to “explain the truth of what happened.” Finally, the judge has agreed with him and he will be able to testify on January 16.
Until now, the man from Madrid has denied the accusations and assured that Elisa’s story is “false.” “I’m not worried at all because I’m very sure what happened. I ended up at his house and he attacked me three times,” she said in response. “For me it is important to speak in front of a judge but it is also important that the rest of the victims dare to report and that this has more weight. There are more women and with the same pattern. I played on Instagram, then on Telegram and then I denigrated them “.
