Isco acts as a Betic leader and Osasuna bitter the premiere of Benítez

The Andalusian side beat Villarreal with Willian Jose’s 1-2 win in minute 95′ and the ‘rojillo’ win (0-2) in Balaídos

MADRID, 13 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Betis beat Villarreal (1-2) this Sunday in the first matchday of LaLiga EA Sports thanks to a goal by Willian Jose in the 95th minute, while Osasuna beat RC Celta (0-2).

Manuel Pellegrini’s men added the first three points of the course with Isco, formerly of Real Madrid and Sevilla, as the new leader. After five years without shining, the Spanish footballer once again felt comfortable in the scheme of a Betis that took the lead at La Cerámica in the 20th minute.

Ayoze made it 0-1, after a strong visiting siege, by wings and with Isco distributing play and speeding up those attacks. Quique Setién’s team reacted and Foyth crashed with the stick. The gasoline also seemed to hold up better in the yellow team and in the restart they came close to the goal again.

Thus, Cuenca equalized with a header, but with everything up in the air 20 minutes from the end. Pellegrini made changes and got better at the outcome of a first game in which the legs are heavy. The prize of going up was found by Betis in Willian José in the long discount, the trend that is expected this season, to unbalance a duel of applicants for the European zone, including the Champions League.

On the other hand, Sunday left a bitter debut for Rafa Benítez on the Balaídos bench, with the defeat against Osasuna who resumed action with the same good appearance that ended last year. Celta disappointed in their staging, with barely a clear chance against a ‘rojillo’ box that fairly took the three points.

Rubén García and Moi Gómez scored a goal in each half. Jagoba Arrasate’s men made the locals very difficult, especially on Cervi’s left wing. In the 24th minute the visiting goal arrived and Celta wanted to react. Fran Beltrán and Larsen had the Galician approaches before the break.

Those of Benítez continued their takeoff, finding Iago Aspas, but there was no clarity of ideas and defensive weakness, again, when in the 79th minute, Rubén Peña sentenced in an action similar to the first goal. A 0-2 to reaffirm the Cup finalist and to remind Celta that they have work ahead of them.
