Real Zaragoza and Cartagena added an insufficient and dangerous point in La Romareda, after drawing without goals, a result that hardly alleviates the situation in which they both find themselves in the qualifying table.
It was a final for the two contenders that did not opt for either, which makes their particular fight for relegation continue red hot as the owners of the land maintain the advantage they had before this day over the red zone, three points, while for visitors the disadvantage increases to two points.
Both tried to take the victory in a nervous game and a lot of wear and tear but in the end they lacked aim so that they could have opted to one side or the other.
Zaragoza and Cartagena began the meeting with intense pressure, which caused a quick game to try to overcome it, although at the speed they both printed, they lacked precision in the deliveries.
The visitor pressure, however, had more effect than the local one, which allowed him to dominate the first twenty minutes that had a lot of rhythm, although as the minutes unraveled, it was Juan Ignacio Martínez's men “JIM” who took over the match.
There were arrivals to the areas by the two teams but there were hardly any clear shots. Cartagena had their option in the 7th minute with a free kick taken by Pablo de Blasis who rejected the goalkeeper Cristian Álvarez with his fists and José Angel took advantage of the clearance to finish off and try again an inspired Zaragoza goal who again rejected and caused the ball , uncontrollably, there was a commotion in the area.
The hands enjoyed two, both headlong, the first from Colombian Juanjo Narváez, who did not need a center from Alberto Zapater and the second and clearer, at the stroke of half an hour, from Alex Alegría who also did not tune and threw it at the hands of Marc Martínez.
The acceleration and speed of the first period gave way to a second half with more precautions but as fatigue made an appearance, the constancy in the marks was diluted and the ball began to arrive more assiduously from one side of the field to the other.
Carlos David had the option to go ahead in 59 in a header from a corner kick that Cristian Álvarez saved and practically in the next play the 'blanquillos' linked a counter that left Sergio Bermejo before the foreign goal but the shot with his bad leg he was diverted.
The comings and goings, in the middle of an intense game but also with the fear of losing this, made the score stay as it was at the beginning, a point for each one that left no one satisfied.
