Iñigo Martínez: “We know where Madrid can be attacked and hurt”

“No one has more desire to play than Olmo and Víctor”

BARCELONA, 10 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

FC Barcelona player Iñigo Martínez assured that they know how to hurt Real Madrid, their rival this Sunday in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, and that they are “motivated and excited” in order to try to win the first title of the year, with the re-registered –thanks to the CSD’s precautionary measure– Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor now ready to ‘redebut’.

“We know what we have to do, where we can attack Madrid and where we can hurt them. We are going for them, with full confidence and with plenty of squad. We are looking forward to it, because it is the first title and it always gives It’s a pleasure to win a title,” he acknowledged in statements to the club’s media.

In this sense, he assured that the team is “very motivated and excited.” “It is the first title of the year and we want to achieve it, because it can give us another boost for the other competitions. We had to start well in 2025 and I think we have started well, winning games and with the goal, in both games, zero. And that has also given us a great boost,” he commented.

However, he recognizes that Real Madrid will be a “great rival.” “In the final every detail is going to matter. A final is a final and everything changes, especially in any small detail. We have to do all the work possible well, and from there, the result will tell who gets the trophy,” he valued.

On the other hand, he celebrated recovering the re-registered Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, who could not play in the semifinal against Athletic Club. “Having two unregistered players is hard for both them and the rest of the team. Seeing them every day was not easy at all, there was a lot of commotion around them. Right now, officially, they can compete and no one has more desire than them. We are all very happy and they are even more so,” he said.

On a personal level, when asked about his good fitness, he commented that he does his job “in the best possible way.” “I always try to help the team, which is what, in the end, is going to make you win these titles. Let’s hope it falls on our side and we can bring another cup to the people of Barcelona,” he said.
