The central player from Ondarroa did not play the first two friendlies -Mönchengladbach and Duisburg- for having started the pre-season later due to his participation with the national team in the Nations League, and curiously enough, he made his debut against Bochum two days after training apart from his teammates for only half an hour as a precaution.
