Last Monday, the Dutch former cyclist Tom Dumoulin and the Spaniard Miguel Indurain enjoyed a day with Kern Pharma and its subsidiary, the Finisher team, where they shared experiences, anecdotes and a bicycle ride with the team’s riders, according to this report. “There has always been a lot of fans and it is good to have a team that has been working with the youth categories for years, that has developed and has taken important steps. It is positive to have a professional team at the same time as doing this training work in which you focus them on where they need to go,” declared Indurain within the framework of the ‘Grassroots Program’ event, organized by Giant.
For his part, Dumoulin highlighted the importance of subsidiary teams to “learn and improve”, as well as to “understand” what professional cycling is like. “The work being done here is essential, I see an ambitious and motivated group of runners who are being offered a good opportunity,” he commented.
For Juanjo Oroz, general manager of Kern Pharma, these days of coexistence with two cycling legends have been “very positive” and he hopes that it has helped his riders to “learn” from them. “It is important in the formation of a person to see that the referents have problems like those that any of ours can suffer has been motivating,” he concluded.
