Torredelcampo is a charming town in Jaén that, like so many others in the area, boasts the production of excellent virgin olive oil generated by its extensive fields of olive trees. But for a few years there are also in the town (14,142 inhabitants) a magnificent Madrid fan club dedicated to Iker Casillas, the legendary goalkeeper of Real Madrid and the Spanish National Team. In fact, the name of the rock is ‘El Santo’, in honor of the nickname of the Mostoleño.

Once the pandemic was over, they have held several events to celebrate the return to normalcy. First they summoned all their people to the Casa de la Juventud, which was filled to attend a talk about the good sporting and economic situation of Real Madrid, given by a server. And the next day they did a meal with all the peñistas to which the veteran José Antonio Salguero attended on behalf of the club. In both acts, Iker’s great career and his enormous legacy as a goalkeeper were valued.
