Ibrahimovic: “I’m scared at the end of my career”

MADRID, 22 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Swedish player Zlatan Ibrahimovic assured this Tuesday that he is “afraid” at the end of his career after 25 seasons as a professional and warned fans -in his usual defiant tone- to “take advantage” to watch his football because “it will not be see an Ibrahimovic” in football history.

“I won’t be able to play the full 90 minutes. I’m getting older, but I’m still in good shape, so take the opportunity to see me on the pitch while you can because you’ll never see anything like that again. You’ll see Elanga, but with all due respect, you won’t see Elanga again. Ibrahimovic. Enjoy it while it lasts,” said Ibrahimovic at the press conference prior to Sweden-Czech Republic in the playoffs for the World Cup in Qatar.

“I’m scared at the end of my career because I’m not going to find the adrenaline I feel on the pitch anywhere,” added the AC Milan striker. “That’s why I’m panicking, I’ll keep playing as long as I can and enjoying it,” added ‘Ibra’, who won’t be able to play this game against the Czechs but could -in case of victory- in the definitive ‘playoff’ against Poland .

In addition, the 40-year-old veteran striker admitted that he is aware that there will be “other opportunities” for his future but he preferred to “focus” on the pitch and on the qualifiers that Sweden must overcome if they want to be present at the next World Cup.
