MADRID, 18 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish-Congolese center Serge Ibaka could not help his new team, the Milwaukee Bucks, in their defeat this Thursday in the NBA by 120-123 against the Philadelphia 7ers of a huge Joel Embiid, who won the personal duel to Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In a match between two of the Eastern Conference candidates, their two great references showed their quality before ‘All-Star Weekend’ in Cleveland, although the Cameroonian was better in statistics and took the victory with 42 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. The Greek wasn’t bad at all either with a very complete game where he came close to the ‘triple double’ with 32 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.
Between this hand in hand between the two stars, Ibaka could not have a great leading role, although his time on the court, more than 23 minutes, made it clear that he has reached the current champions to be an important player in the rotation.
The Spanish-Congolese center, however, was not entirely fine in the shot and stayed at five points after signing 2/8 in shooting, with 1/5 in triple, although he did cooperate on his board with six catches.
