At 94, Clint Eastwood is devastated after the death of his girlfriend, Christina Sandera, who passed away at the age of 61He himself has communicated his death: “Christina was a lovely and caring woman, and I will miss her very much.”the actor and producer lamented in a letter sent this Friday, July 19, to The Hollywood Reporter.
Eastwood, who has not given a cause of death, met his girlfriend when she was working as a waitress at one of his hotels in Carmel-by-the-Sea, the Californian town to which he feels a special bond since he was mayor between 1986 and 1988. They never married and had no children. He has eight children from six previous relationships.
We have seen both of them throughout this last decade in different and important events such as the 2015 Oscars, when American Sniper was nominated for six golden statuettes, including best film. On the red carpets of Sully (2016), The Mule (2018), The 15:17 to Paris (2018) y Richard Jewell (2019), Sandera also accompanied Eastwood.
Prior to his relationship with Sandera, Eastwood was married to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1984. He was married for the second time to television news anchor Dina Ruiz. They tied the knot in 1996 and divorced ten years ago in 2014. Other women who have marked the life of the legendary Hollywood actor include Roxanne Tunis, Oscar-nominated actress Sondra Locke, flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves and actress Frances Fisher.
