The couple formed by Javier Huerta and Óscar Jiménez, in the men’s box, and Belén Carro and Ángela Lobato, in the women’s, have been proclaimed champions of the Copa del Rey and the Reina Iberdrola 2022 beach volleyball this Sunday, after the finals played in Cala en Bosc de Ciutadella (Menorca).
The Canaries beat Mesa and Pérez 2-0 (21-19, 21-17) in two surprising sets. In the women’s final, Carro, champion of Spain in 2018, and Lobato were the ones who won after an impressive match against Puri and Erika, which ended 0-2 (19-21, 13-21).
