Hooligans Ilustrados opens the season of AS Audio

New premiere at PRISA Audio: this Monday, September 20, the publication of the serial begins Illustrated Hooligans. It is the second podcast that has the AS Audio label, after the great reception it had 'Last on the List' during the Eurocup. The sound space of Diario AS kicks off the season with this co-production with Producciones del KO (new audiovisual division of the publishing house Libros del KO, creators of the successful series Hooligans Ilustrados) and Podium podcast.

Within this iconic collection, eight stories have been adapted ranging from how a young man Manuel Jabois in Sanxenxo fell in love with Hugo Sánchez's shots at Real Madrid, until the ostracism that Castellón de Enrique Ballester in what we consider the ‘infrafootball’. In between: the glorious days of Depor de Nacho Carretero and Racing de Marta San Miguel, the revolutionary neighborhood that always accompanies the Rayo de Quique Peinado, the history of Sevilla de Pepe Lobo or the faith of Espanyol Enric Gonzalez.

The first episode, 'My grandmother and ten more', is starring the family memories of Ander Izagirre and that Royal Society that with two firecrackers made all of San Sebastián happy in the 80s. Every Monday, From this Monday, September 20 to November 8, a new installment of this podcast will be published that turns a collection -which a priori looks like football- into a documentary series about local stories, generational portraits, childhood nostalgia and the essential role of the fan in the stadium.

Unrepeatable voices for unforgettable moments

In addition to the journalist Lucia Taboada (director and host of the podcast, columnist in As and collaborator in Cadena Ser), the listener will hear the voices of the writers of the selected books, of iconic footballers that appear in the series (such as Míchel González or Bixio Górriz) and other relevant characters of these narratives with some epic and a lot of mud. This podcast features the montage and sound design of Carlos Diaz, and the production and editing of Pablo Isasa.

The stamp AS Audio appears in one of the sound works in Spanish that best deals with this sport, the memories that every fan has around a ball and the number of stories that have emerged with football.
